After School Care is available from 3.30pm to 5.30pm and is held in the Lower Preparatory Department. The children enjoy a mixture of social playtime as well as more structured activities such as playing with board games, jigsaw puzzles, painting and colouring. For most of the time the children like to ‘chill out’ and immerse themselves in the fabulous selection of toys on offer, all designed to promote imaginative play. The children also take part in a variety of additional activities throughout the year, including the Art Show that takes place in March. For this particular show we all decided to do something completely different from our previous entries and used the theme of Recycled Dogs that involved the use of old newspapers.

The After School provision is very different from the classroom-based lessons and it is important that the children who stay for this have some time and space to relax. All the children have a healthy snack and drink on arrival and, above all, have fun!

There is also a Holiday Activity provision that is based in the Lower Preparatory Department and runs from 8.30am until 5.30pm. The structure of this varies daily, with a mixture of art and craft based activities. The children are lucky enough to have the use of many of the Prep School facilities and in fine weather can take full advantage of the beautiful school grounds.
