Every pupil should have the opportunity to develop visual ideas

Fine Art provides an opportunity for all students to express their visual ideas whilst developing work that is of a technically high standard.

Art can offer the first step for those who may wish to pursue an eventual career in any visual, media or creative discipline. Ideas are developed through experimental approaches to drawing that provides students with a rich visual vocabulary.

A series of workshops open to all pupils in areas such as painting, printmaking, ceramics and photography further strengthen the range of media students can access. A number of visits to galleries and museums inform and give context to the work that is produced in the department.
