The Wycliffe Combined Cadet Force is a voluntary organisation within the senior school, for pupils aged between 13 and 18. It aims to provide an opportunity for young people to exercise responsibility and leadership in a disciplined and controlled environment.
Our vibrant CCF contingent offers significant developmental opportunities; through the use of military-orientated activity and adventurous training, Cadets have the opportunity to develop their sense of responsibility and the qualities of self-reliance, resourcefulness, endurance, perseverance and service to the community.
Cadets are encouraged to take part in a wide variety of activities within the school's estate or on extensive common land adjacent to it here cadets learn cooking, camping and navigational techniques and develop their team building and instructional skills.
More adventurous training takes place away from the school; cadets are offered the challenges of the Ten Tors event, the Devizes to Warminster canoe marathon, alpine climbing in Austria and Nordic skiing expeditions.
