The school has excellent cricket facilities with a magnificent 1st XI square as a central focal point in the school. The standard of coaching is first class.

The school has strong links Gloucestershire County Cricket Club which involves a new coaching and support programme for Academy members who are being educated at the school. Wycliffe is leading the way in supporting County Academy providing an all year round cricket development programme, delivered jointly between the County Coaches and the School Coaches.

Wycliffe also has a partnership with Gloucestershire Cricket Board, where pupils receive twice weekly coaching from County coaches during the Summer Term and pre-season programme.

There are numerous opportunities available for boys to improve their skills and fitness both in the summer and during the off-season.  The County age groups use the school's wonderful indoor facilities for their winter training and extensive opportunities exist for Wycliffe pupils to benefit from this link with the County.

The school boasts annual fixtures against the MCC, the Gypsies and 20/20 fixtures.

The school is very proud of the achievements of Old Wycliffian, Alex Gidman who currently captains Gloucestershire County Cricket.
