Design & Technology is unique because students look to the future and are creative and innovative.

“DT inspires young people to go into industry as designers, but also, it inspires creativity and – perhaps most importantly – encourages them to work out their own answers to problems. It gives them vital life skills, whether they go on to become engineers or not.”  James Dyson

Design & Technology at Wycliffe is focused on Product Design with students at both GCSE and A level being able to select from either a Resistant Materials or Graphic Products pathway. Through visits to museums and industry students gain valuable insight into the world of design and manufacturing.

With large well equipped workshops, state of the art ICT facilities featuring Solidworks design software, laser cutting, 3D modelling, CNC routing and sublimation printing, Wycliffe has everything students need to show  enterprise and ingenuity in their work.
