GCSE History offers a wide variety of experiences History is not so much a matter of learning facts, but rather a case of explaining why things happened.

The emphasis is on thinking for yourself. You will investigate issues using written documents, cartoons, videos and the internet. You will be expected to form your own opinions and be able to justify them in an argument.

There is no right or wrong answer in History, as long as you can justify your point of view.

If you are looking for a GCSE which will help you understand the world today, develop your skills of analysis and communication, and give you the chance to say what you think, then History is for you!
