Barbados Hockey tour
Hockey is the major sport played during the Autumn Term
Hockey is the major sport played during the Autumn Term. It is compulsory for girls in Years 9, 10 and 11 and can be continued during the Sixth Form if wished.

In addition to matches against other schools and colleges on Thursday and Saturday afternoons, Wycliffe enters tournaments such as The West of England Indoor Tournament, The Gloucestershire County Tournament and The South Cotswold Hockey League.

Whilst Hockey training is incorporated into both the games curriculum and extra curriculum activities programme, we also encourage girls who are of a high standard to attend Gloucestershire County Trials and Satellite Coaching Sessions. Likewise, girls often take part in summer coaching camps and tours such as the October 2007 Half Term trip to Barbados in which the 1st XI team played in The Bajan Winter Sports Festival as a means of further developing their skills and talents.
