Our experience shows that with appropriate teaching, differentiation and resources, students with dyslexia gain confidence and go on to achieve well. In recognition of our provision for students with specific learning difficulties, Wycliffe has been accredited by CReSTeD (category DU), for the past four years.
Both the Preparatory and the Senior School have a designated Learning Support Unit where highly experienced, specialist teachers offer individual tuition to students needing support to develop their skills.
As the recent CReSTeD report puts it, ‘The commitment to excellent pastoral care, appropriately differentiated teaching and realistic expectations have resulted in pupils with a wide range of difficulties and needs being successful in reaching their potential.’ Or, as a Year 11 pupil wrote, ‘Wycliffe has inspired me always to do the best I can and never give up’.
