Wycliffe Choir Sings Choral Evensong at Gloucester Cathedral
On Monday 13th October at 5.30pm, the Choir sang Choral Evensong in Gloucester Cathedral, an annual event in the Choir’s diary.

Wycliffe says a sad farewell to the staff and pupils from North Shore County Day School, as they return to Chicago after a fun filled week at the school.

What Obama’s victory means for Wycliffe…
After the euphoria of Barack Obama’s historic victory in the presidential election, the Year 13 Politics group had the chance to discuss the result with students from North Shore, Chicago.

Wycliffe Welcomes North Shore County Day School, Chicago, USA
On Sunday 9th November, Wycliffe staff and pupils extended a warm welcome to eleven students, along with their two teachers, Frank Dachille and Becky Flory, from North Shore County Day School on their annual cultural exchange.

Japanese cultural exchange
This week saw the arrival of five students from Ashiya School which is located near Osaka in Japan. They are staying with five Wycliffe pupils who are studying Japanese for either GCSE or A level; Sam Philips, Ollie Capehorn, Grace Arman, Charles Russell and Ian Mills.

Tribute to war dead
Wycliffe pays tribute to the war dead and commemorates the 90th anniversary of the armistice at the end of World War I.

Wycliffe visits the windy city
Over the October half-term, six Wycliffe students were hosted for a week at North Shore Country Day School just outside Chicago.

Wycliffe Choir Sings Choral Evensong at Gloucester Cathedral
 
The music included Responses by Saunders, the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis in D by Herbert Brewer (a former Organist at Gloucester) and the anthem ‘If Ye Love Me, Keep My Commandments’ by Tallis.

The service was attended by many parents and the Head, Margie Burnet Ward.

The Choir performed with distinction and attracted many compliments. Their reward was an all-you-can-eat curry supper in Gloucester after the event!
