	What is the Development Year? What is studied? How much English does a DY pupil need? What examinations are taken? The Pre-Sessional Week

As one of the aims of the Development Year (DY) is to prepare pupils in one year to start A levels it is not usually suitable for a pupil who has not previously studied English. Equally, a pupil needs to be keen to study in English and to make rapid progress.

Not all DY pupils aim to stay in the UK for A level study and it is our intention to provide for such pupils a rounded education which will allow them to reintegrate smoothly into their own education system when they return home.
