Lesley is the Principal of Colston’s Girls’ School and has led its development from an independent school, since 2003.  Under her leadership, the school made a seamless transition from independent to academy status and has become one of the most oversubscribed schools in Bristol.  Lesley is the educational lead on the Government’s Prevent Agenda and contributes to many educational groups within Bristol.

Lesley has 32 years experience in education and has worked in both sectors.  She has led the school through a recent Ofsted Inspection that rated the school as Outstanding in 26 of the 31 categories, notably teaching and learning and her leadership as ‘dynamic and visionary’.

Lesley has recently been appointed CEO for the South West Academies Group and Education Advisor the Society of Merchant Venurers.
