All students in Years 9 – 11 study Mathematics and we start by broadly following National Curriculum guidelines for Year 9, then move to studying GCSE Mathematics in Year 10 and 11 - From September 2010 this is the AQA Modular GCSE course.
Our most able students are extended as appropriate, for example by taking the OCR Additional Mathematics qualification. Our Development Year international students also all take Mathematics and gain an IGCSE (International GCSE) qualification.
In the Sixth Form Mathematics is a popular choice and students have the option of taking their study of the subject as far as they wish, with AS and A-Level available in either Mathematics or Further Mathematics.
A GCSE course is also available for those sixth formers who do not have the qualification, but need it for University entry in the UK.
