The December Supper on 2nd December 2005 was a very successful occasion. Many OWs from the 1970s and 1980s, as well as representatives from older generations, returned to meet the many Housemasters who turned out along with two former Headmasters, Richard Roberts and his wife, Wendy and Richard Poulton and his wife, Sally.

In total over 100 people enjoyed good food, good company and a lot of reminiscing, particularly when the ‘Masters’ were invited to share a particular memory with everyone.

“What a superb evening you organized at Wycliffe last Friday. A splendid theme and you did magnificently in getting over 100 OWs to attend. The most successful OW function for many years… I only wonder how you are going to top it next year” – Donald Clark

The following evening saw over 300 OWs and friends from Gloucestershire and further afield attend the Carol Service. The Chapel looked beautiful by candlelight and with its huge Christmas tree it was a very festive occasion. The congregation joined in the traditional carols interspersed with readings by representatives from the College, OW Society and local community. The choir, under the direction of Chris Swain, performed magnificently, with some magical music that almost took the roof off. Guests were invited to stay for refreshments in the Sports Centre afterwards so there was plenty of chat and clinking of glasses to round off the evening.
