Council of Trustees of Wycliffe College
The College has a single governing body for its two schools, Wycliffe Senior School and Wycliffe Preparatory School, which comprises of up to a maximum of 15 Trustees with the power to delegate to a number of functional sub-committees or working parties.
The Council plays an important strategic role in the direction of the College and is legally responsible for the overall management and control of Wycliffe.
The Trustees give of their time voluntarily and without remuneration and meet regularly throughout the year as a Council. Additionally, sub-committees consisting of Audit, Education, Estates, Nominations, Welfare and a Foundation Steering Group meet as necessary, generally once per term and report to Council accordingly.
Recruitment and succession planning for new Trustees is the responsibility of the Nominations Committee which is active in identifying suitable men and women prepared to serve as Trustees or on various sub-committees in order to provide the broad range of skills and experience to help guide and direct the College.
Trustees are given extensive induction and training and are also offered a full programme of briefings on charity and educational matters.
