Pupil ProfileMy name is Samantha Blundell. I am in Year 12 and am currently studying English Literature, Mathematics, Chemistry and History. When I first joined Wycliffe reading was one of my difficult areas but now, due to the enthusiastic teaching and support I have been offered, I would proudly say it is one of my greatest strengths. There is nothing I like more than sitting down in the library at school, and reading an old classic. Our school library has more books than I could possibly read but I like the fact that I have the opportunity to try whatever I like. Sport at Wycliffe is a really big part of my life. If I am not in my house or in lessons then I will definitely be found in the Sports Hall. I play in the squash, hockey and tennis teams for the school. It is the atmosphere that I really love. I am close with everyone in all of the teams I play in and when I eventually leave I will treasure these memories. Although we might not win all our matches, (apart from squash where we generally do!!!), we have created a good balance of competitive spirit and fun. I know it sounds like a complete cliché but I honestly do not think I would not be the same person I am today if I had not been at Wycliffe. This school has given me the chance to really widen my friendship groups and connect with people who are from different cultures and have different interests. I feel that this school has really helped me to create a large network of friends and I will definitely keep in contact with them once I leave. There are so many things that I love about Wycliffe College but the idea of leaving is definitely not one of them.
