Wycliffe College has over 12 years' experience in providing a high quality education for international students within the school. Where appropriate, they may start our AS level programmes immediately, but our specialist Development Year course enables us to accept international students at any time of the year to give students time to prepare for Sixth Form study.   The school believes that all students should be fully integrated and provided with the support they require to make good progress.

DEVELOPMENT YEAR PROGRAMME
At Wycliffe we understand the need for thorough and specialist preparation for the overseas students who wish to study within our system.   Therefore, in addition to the two-year A' level course, Wycliffe offers a Development Year programme for overseas students who are not yet ready to follow a traditional Sixth Form programme. Ideally they should already have some GCSEs or the equivalent in their own country.

The Development Year

prepares students in the linguistic and academic skills required to succeed in post 16 studies.

further develops the students’ learning in subjects taught in the Sixth Form to the standard expected.

offers overseas students an insight into the different cultural environment and teaching styles they will experience in the course of their studies in the UK.

prepares students from an elementary level of English

offers 3 intake dates: September, January and April
