1. Interpretation
1.1 "fees" include basic fees and any additional fees payable for Special Educational Needs or extra-curricular activities as published in the Fees, Charges and Conditions of Entry, from time to time in force.

1.2 "full term" means the period between and including the first and last day of each School term, as published in the School's calendar.

1.3 "term's notice" means a full term, thus written notice received before the first day of any term expires at the end of that term and written notice received during any term expires at the end of the next term.  Notice must be given in writing to the Head.  Notice given verbally, or by telephone or by any other means, or to any other person will not count as good notice.  Notice shall not be deemed to have been received by the School unless you have received written confirmation from the Head or Bursar confirming receipt of notice.

2. Accepting a Place
A deposit, details of which are set out on page 1 of Fees, charges and conditions of entry is to be paid on acceptance of a place.  This will be credited at the end of the pupil's final term at the School.

3.The School's Duties
3.1 The School aims to educate pupils at the School in a proper manner, with regard to their ability and needs.  The School's aims and ethos are described more fully in the Prospectus.

3.2 The School will, as far as reasonably practicable, keep parents informed on a regular basis of a pupil's progress and will notify them if a pupil is not progressing as well as would reasonably be expected.  The School will enter pupils for public examinations only if the Head is satisfied that it is in the best interests of the pupil.

3.3 Progression through any stage of the School will be dependent upon a pupil achieving the required academic standards.

3.4 The School must be responsive in all areas to changes that reflect the needs of its pupils and the challenges of society.  Whilst your son or daughter is with us there will inevitably be changes, many on a modest scale and occasionally rather more fundamental.  We will always strive to keep parents fully advised of developments and give you reasonable advanced notice when major developments are proposed.

3.5 Pupils at Wycliffe will be expected to take part in activities and outings that inevitably will involve a degree of skill and risk and we must accept that accidents occasionally happen.  Staff will take all reasonable care of pupils, however cannot be held responsible for any loss or injury arising otherwise than as a result of any negligent act or omission by a member of staff acting in the course of their duties to the School.
