Our overseas pupils make for a truly varied community

One week before Autumn Term starts all the new overseas pupils arrive for a pre-sessional week of preparation, ensuring that they are ready on the first day of term to start the year with confidence.

It is the perfect opportunity to make new friends, settle and become familiar with their new environment. For some, this may be their first experience of being away from home and it is important that the transition is a happy one.

"The Pre-Sessional week really helped me to settle into my new school, I was able to familiarise myself within my new surrounding, settle in to my boarding house and make new friends. I think without the Pre-Sessional week, I would have been nervous about all these things." Marie (DY pupil)
