Pupil Profile

When I joined Wycliffe at the start of the Sixth Form I was extremely nervous.  I can happily and proudly say that moving to Wycliffe has been a wonderful experience.  I was quickly made to feel like I belonged and everyone greeted me with a smile.

Wycliffe has it all - excellent teaching, innumerable extra-curricular activities, and the best and most welcoming community I have ever known. These are the things that I personally love most about the school.  There are no groups and everyone is quick to include you.  Everyone is a friend with everyone else, something that is unusual to find at other schools.  There is an indescribable positivity shared by everyone and this permeates all areas of the school, from the classroom to the sports field.

There is such a wide range of activities for pupils to get involved in including music, drama, sport and a huge number of house competitions.  The teachers do everything to encourage pupils to have interests and these interests turn into passions.  Music and drama are my two favourite hobbies and neither of these was encouraged at my previous school.  The music and drama departments at Wycliffe have involved me in numerous events, groups and activities, so much so, that I now barely have a free moment. However, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I strongly believe that moving to Wycliffe is one of the best decisions of my life.  Having experienced what I have, I know that I simply couldn’t be happier anywhere else.  I have never enjoyed school as much as I do at Wycliffe.
