On Sunday 28th February, Alicia Wyer, Emma Boers and Rachel Lade travelled to Rugby Polo Club to play in the National Girls Schools Tournament.

Brick-making, candle-making and watching 19th century foundry workers making iron tools, were just some of the activities undertaken by Year 9 pupils on a visit to Blists Hill Industrial Village and Museum, on Wednesday 25th January.

 

Wycliffe’s Head, Margie Burnet Ward has congratulated pupils on another excellent set of A level results this morning. “Last year’s record achievements were always going to be difficult to top but to get within half a percentage point is fantastic and we are sure that our value-added figures will be among our best ever.”

Among the top performing students with all A* and A grades are Head of School, Greg Mason from Pentyrch, Cardiff, Cheltenham’s Tom Hartley, Francesca Waggett from Stroud, Lizzie Jenkins of Rodborough and Hong Kong’s Kevin Chan. Joe Blake was among a number who secured all A grades with one B, in his case scoring an A*, 2As and a single B, missing the top grade by just two marks.

The school’s pass rate stands at 99% once again and the majority of students achieved their first or second choice of university place in this year’s exceptionally competitive marketplace.
