September sees the opening of the £500,000 refurbishment to the Swimming Pool at the Preparatory School.
After a few false starts and much anticipation the Preparatory School will be celebrating the opening of the newly refurbished swimming pool complex, ready for the start of term this September. The refurbishment included the changing rooms, heating and ventilation system, new external glazing and cladding along with new pool safe flooring. The stunning mosaic tiles in the swimming pool give a fresh and contemporary feel to the building, in-line with the very best commercial swimming pool complexes.
Head, Adrian Palmer comments: “We now have a brand new and modern facility which will offer outstanding opportunity for all our swimmers from Reception through to Senior School pupils and will showcase the best of Wycliffe’s talent and future successes. I hope it will also be a facility we can offer to the wider community.
I’m looking forward to seeing the children’s reactions when they return to school this coming Monday and I’m sure parents and staff alike will be delighted with this amazing resource. I would like to thank the contractors, Thomas Vale for their sterling work and Amanda Bromley, Facilities Manager at Wycliffe for her tireless enthusiasm and for ensuring the project was completed on time.”
