At Wycliffe Preparatory School we have a very strong pastoral care system.
Pupils are in tutor groups and have contact with their tutors at least twice daily. Any concerns from pupils, staff or parents are dealt with by the tutors and passed on, when necessary, to the Heads of House or Deputy Head.
Each pupil, in Year 1 and above, is in one of four teams known as 'Houses', which meet weekly to acknowledge the achievements of house members, as well as kindness and consideration to others. The Head of House, responsible for the overall welfare of children in that house, makes initial contact with parents when children first arrive at Wycliffe and are a point of contact throughout the children's time with us.
We are all here to take good physical and emotional care of your children and consider the pastoral side of Wycliffe to be of paramount importance. Training is kept up to date and the welfare and progress of pupils is regularly discussed to enable us to uphold Mr Palmer's philosophy of school life - in particular, that children should be happy to come to school. |
