Welcome to Wycliffe

We are delighted that you are joining us in September 2020. We have created a short film from our senior members of staff to talk you through what to expect as a new pupil at Wycliffe.

The Welcome Film is around 20 minutes long and includes words from Mr. Nick Gregory, Headmaster, Mr. Peter Woolley, Senior Deputy Head, Mrs. Kate Corbin, Deputy Head Pastoral, Mr. Sean Dunne, Deputy Head Academic and Mrs. Sarah Collinson, Head of Lower School.

Please read these through as they have important information for the start of the new academic year. Accompanying these booklets are the Joining Forms (again as PDFs and Word Documents), please download these, complete them and return them to the following address:

Dates for your diary...

  • Friday 12th June – A letter informing you of the House that your son or daughter has been allocated
  • Sunday 28th June – An evening reception in respective Houses for both you and your son or daughter to give you a chance to meet with your Houseparent and see the facilities that will be available in September (Provisional)
  • Tuesday 30th June – Year 9 pupils will be invited to an all-day Academic Transition Day (co-ordinated by Mrs. Collinson, Head of Lower School) which has as its principal objective the idea of preparing the children for the additional and new academic challenges and demands of Senior School (Provisional)
  • Wednesday 2nd September (afternoon only) – Induction/orientation event. Parents of Day pupils drop off their child(ren) at 1.00pm and are then invited to a short presentation from Mr Gregory and the Deputy Heads between 1.00pm and 2.00pm in the Chapel. Please then return that afternoon (5.00pm) to collect your child(ren). N.B. New UK-based, Year 9 Boarding pupils are in fact invited to arrive earlier that day (from 9.00am), get set up in their Houses and then join the induction/orientation programme from 1.00pm.

Please note, many of the dates are dependent on circumstances and therefore provisional.
