Open Morning is rapidly approaching and we are ready to be invaded on Saturday at 10am. Visitors can come and experience what we have to offer our children. The highlight of our open mornings for me is the fact that we allow our Year 8 pupils to act as guides as they are the best possible ambassadors for the school. It is just wonderful listening to the amazing conversations they have with our visitors.
We have much be proud of already this term. Our U13 football team had a hugely successful outing on Sunday ending up as South-West of England IAPS runners-up and this was close on the tails of our U12 hockey team qualifying for the IAPS National finals and our U11 netball team being runners-up in another competition.
Academically, the children of all ages are flying – I have already seen over fifty children this term with excellent work, varying from stunning drawings of dinosaur eyes, to detailed historical accounts and some incredible creative writing. We have our first lunchtime concert later this week when many of our pupils will show off their musical talents. Preparations for the Year 8 drama production of Madagascar are well under way. I often wonder how our wonderful pupils manage to cram so much into their time at school but they do!
