Here is what our Prep School Headmaster, Adrian Palmer, had to say about the activities at Wycliffe this week.
Life continues at a mad pace at the Prep School and so much has happened since my last blog just over two school week’s age.
Last week, we enjoyed a very special Remembrance Service led by our Year 8 pupils who have been studying World War 1. The service was based around OWs who sadly lost their lives in the war and we were delighted to host members of the families the children had been studying for the service.
I am a delighted to say that our own Lower Prep Forest School is now up and running and the Year 2 children had a wonderful time on Friday afternoon, enjoying the new facility and engaging the activities organised for them. Find out more about Wycliffe Forest School by clicking here.
Today has been very exciting day for our younger children as they have enjoyed the annual ‘Chrismaths’ Challenge Day. Pupils from Nursery, Reception and Years 1, 2 and 3 all spent the morning engaging in maths activities specifically linked to Maths.
As many of you will be aware I have a reputation for ties and it was wonderful today as part of the Chrismaths challenge to see two boys wearing ties that I would have been proud to wear myself. Although a little early for Christmas cheer I could not resist having a photo taken with them.
