1. The Reception teacher visits the Nursery weekly to spend time with the Upper Nursery children, reading stories and getting to know the children.
  2. The UN children attend the Headmaster’s Lower prep assembly each week giving the children the opportunity to interact with Lower prep children and teachers.
  3. Upper Nursery children visit the Lower prep school regularly to use their facilities including the library and adventure play area.
  4. Children have the opportunity to dine in the prep school dining room with Nursery and Reception teachers towards the end of the summer term.
  5. Nursery and Reception children and staff enjoy a picnic together in the summer term
  6. Every child joining Reception is invited to attend two induction afternoons to spend time with the Reception team, make friends and familiarise themselves with the Reception classroom.
  7. Parents of children joining Reception in September are invited to attend Parent Induction meetings with the Reception teacher to share information about their child.
  8. Parents are invited to attend specific information evenings about the Early years Foundation Stage, Reading and Maths.
