• Brilliant indoor and outdoor facilities
• Links with Gloucestershire County Cricket Academy
• Specialist coaches

The school has excellent cricket facilities with a magnificent 1st XI square as a central focal point in the school. The standard of coaching is first class, from ex-professionals.

The school has strong links with Gloucestershire County Cricket Club which involves a coaching and support programme for Academy members who are being educated at the school. Wycliffe is leading the way in supporting County Academy players providing an all year round cricket development programme, delivered jointly between the County Coaches and the School Coaches. In 2017 one pupil was selected for the South & West Regional squad to play at the prestigious Bunbury Festival.

There are numerous opportunities available for boys to improve their skills and fitness both in the summer and during the off-season. The Gloucestershire Cricket Board County age groups use the school’s wonderful indoor facilities for their winter training and extensive opportunities exist for Wycliffe pupils to benefit from this link with the County.

The school boasts annual fixtures against the MCC, Gloucestershire Gypsies and an Old Wycliffian XI. The 1st XI enter the Monkhouse Inter Sport 40 over league and the National T20 competition.
The school is very proud of the achievements of Old Wycliffians, Alex Gidman (former Gloucestershire County Cricket captain and former Worcestershire player) and Will Gidman (Gloucestershire and current Kent player).

Specialist Staff: Martyn Kimber and Ben Gannon.
