On Sunday 19th March, 7 Prep School and 11 Senior School musicians took part in the Wycliffe Flutes and Strings Day.  The day consisted of workshops and masterclasses run by visiting professional musicians Diane Clark and Jon Trim.  The students were given the chance to receive some expert advice on a one-to-one and group basis, looking at new approaches to playing and performing.  The day concluded with a superb concert in the Chapel in front of parents and friends, which featured solo and group pieces that had been worked on during the course of the day.  Diane and Jon were a true inspiration and the day was a worthwhile and enjoyable experience for our musicians.  It was lovely for the Prep and Senior School students to collaborate, playing in massed ensembles and listening to each other perform.  We look forward to more joint musical ventures in the future.
