Despite being the middle of summer, Flynn Walton represented Wycliffe in the South West Snowsports Association Schools Championships being held at the Gloucester Ski Centre.

Flynn had an outstanding afternoon finishing in 3rd place in the U16 (Year 9/10) category.

There were about 100 competing in total at the event, with Flynn’s category being one of the strongest with some very good racers competing. The first and second placed skiers were of an exceptional standard and the winner was the GB champion on snow. This puts the extent of Flynn’s performance into perspective, with a bronze medal and podium finish an exceptional achievement.

In addition, as he was placed in his age category, he has been offered a place on the NSSA Autumn Glacier Training Camp held in Tignes, France in October/November 2017.

Well done on this wonderful achievement.
