Colin F Youde

We have received sad news that OW Colin F Youde passed away peacefully after a long illness on 2nd January 2021. He is succeeded by his wife, Judith, and daughter, Kate.

We send our condolences to the family at this very sad time.

His Old Order Changeth from the Wycliffe Star Autumn Term 1968 reads:

After leaving Wycliffe, he went up to Corpus Christi, Oxford where he read PPE and completed a Masters degree.

He was then a teacher at Sandbach School, 1973-77, followed by Lecturer & Senior Lecturer at South Cheshire College, 1977-87. He also completed an MSc Economics at the University of Salford. Most recently he was Head of Business Faculty at Isle of Man College.

Colin had been ill for a few years with a rare neurological illness which made speech almost impossible. He then developed cancer and leukaemia.
