J SH 1957 - 1965
We were sad to receive the news that Lance Vincent Waumsley (b.30.07.1947) tragically passed away on 5th January 2021 aged 73, following a devastating fall at his home.
We were notified by his niece, Antoinnette Rawlings (nee Hoog, OW Haywardsend 1987-1989):
“He joined Wycliffe Junior School sometime during the late 1950s with his younger brother Adrian, leaving at the end of 6th form to attend Selwyn College, Cambridge. Lance followed a career in the Law, culminating in his position as a Judge of the Upper Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber).
A School House boy, he loved his days at Wycliffe and often spoke about them with great fondness, always keeping a close eye on the school’s developments and enjoyed being a member of the OW Lodge for some years. He was the perfect exemplar of ‘Bold and Loyal’.”

Covid permitting they are hoping to hold a memorial service in the summer.
