The first tournament of the term for the U14s was at Katherine Lady Berkley.

In the first match against the hosts the team took a little time to adjust to the shorter version of the game and were fortunate to score the winning try in the last few minutes to lead 10-7.

The team seemed to find their form after this opening match and were clinical against a large Crypt team. Strong tackling early on and some excellent work at the breakdown ensured the team dominated possession and eventually won 61-0.

A similar performance of flowing rugby followed against Churchdown with some wonderful team and individual tries resulting in a 51-0 win. The last round robin match was against Bishops of Hereford which was a 26-0 win which meant the team finished top and were guaranteed a place in the final.

However, due to the bitterly cold weather and all teams having played a lot of rugby and already played each other, there was no final and Wycliffe were declared the winners.

A great start to the Rugby 7s season and well done to all the players involved.
