The Nursery and Pre-Prep enjoyed a visit from Gloucestershire Fire Service today.  The lovely Fireman and Firewoman gave a talk to the pupils about Fire Safety and then answered their questions. One pupil asked if they had rescued cats from any trees, and the Fireman said recently he had to rescue a squirrel which had got its tail stuck!  He also explained how, in the event of a house fire, cats and dogs are very sensible and usually make their way out but that they had had to give oxygen to a Hampster who had been trapped in a smoke filled room.  The hampster survived!  The pupils were able to go into the cabin of the Fire Engine and try on the hats and jackets but they all loved being able to use the water hoses!  A fun morning with some important lessons about fire safety.
