What glorious weather for a trip to Bristol Zoo Gardens! The children loved seeing all of the animals, REALLY loved being treated to an ice lolly and even got to hold one or two interesting creepy crawlies!
Our Year 6 pupils have been busy completing the construction of their battery powered cars and on Thursday we had the race off where every single car eventually made it to the finishing line.

Today is the first back at school after the Easter break - welcome back to our pupils and staff!
On their visit to Les chèvres de la Saffrie, our pupils got to learn all about goat farming and enjoyed getting to hold the goats too!
Our Year 7 and 8 pupils have arrived safely at La Grand' Ferme after a very early start but a gloriously sunny and smooth ferry crossing.
Children in Nursery had the delight of watching baby chicks hatch from eggs, and learnt a lot in the process about how chickens grow and how we can look after them.
Today is House Music Competition. Our budding musicians in Wycliffe Prep are each performing a solo piece on their chosen instrument.
This morning, Charley (Year 5) appeared on Good Morning Britain and was able to recite pi to 258 decimal places! We are very proud of him for being so eloquent and handling himself with such maturity - well done Charley. See more in the 'News' section of the website.
Year 2 had an exciting visit to the Steam Museum in Swindon - it was linked to their studies of the Victorians and Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
To raise money for Comic Relief the Wycliffe Cookery Club have been baking ‘red nose chocolate cherry cupcakes’. Thank you to the staff helpers who have been selling them this break time to help!
One of our lovely parents brought a lamb into Pre-Prep for the pupils to see. The lamb was only 1 week old, and the children were able to ask lots of questions about how the lambs are looked after on the farm!

With all of the snow that we have had today, our Prep pupils are out building snowpeople, having snowball fights, and generally having the best day at school ever!

Over the weekend of the 15th and 16th December, pupils from Senior School had the fantastic experience of going to Berlin and visiting landmarks such as the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag and Checkpoint Charlie. The Christmas Market was also a brilliant festive highlight!
Our Craft Club at Prep School allows pupils to get creative - this week they are proud to show off their colourful hot air balloons.
The Year 8 production of Thoroughly Modern Millie was thoroughly enjoyed by all in the Studio Theatre at Prep School. Stunning costumes, and so much talent on display - very impressive!
Today at Prep School, there were swords flying, shields utilised, and war cries heard echoing across the grounds as pupils took part in a brilliant re-enactment of the Battle of Hastings! And who said History lessons had to take place in the classroom anyway?

To celebrate the 70th birthday of the NHS we brought in 'Medical Mavericks' to help our pupils discover if they would like a career with the 5th largest employer in the world. Pupils had a retina photo taken, looked at their veins and even learned how to take a blood sample!

Year 1 enjoyed a brilliant day at Tyntesfield. They had a wonderful tour of the house, discovering all about various artifacts that homes in the past would have used and how they differ from their own homes of today!
Upper Nursery were outside bright and early this morning searching for conkers - they were very excited to find so many!
Despite the dire warnings in some circles, Wycliffe’s pupils are celebrating another fine set of GCSE results this morning. In the harder, new-style GCSEs, graded 9-1, more than 93% of results were grade 4 or above (the new pass standard) and 80% were a ‘strong’ pass (9-5). See more in the 'Latest News' section.

At Prep School the children had great fun at Mini Chef making Meatballs... although it was messy work so a good clean of the hands was needed afterwards!
Our Nursery children went on an adventure to Cattle Country where they saw lots of animals and found out about life on a farm!
We continue to be amazed at the talent of our pupils. This week Year 4 put on a production of Winnie the Pooh which was a delight for the eyes and ears. There were fantastic group dances, group singing and brilliant solos.
After patiently waiting and learning all about butterflies, our Year 1 pupils finally got to experience the exciting moment of releasing all of the butterflies out into the wild today - a magical moment indeed.
Wycliffe Prep School took part in a fun run to raise money for their chosen charity - The Pied Piper Appeal.

The first edition of the Wycliffe Hotwire has now been released. Copies have been widely spread throughout the campus delivering all the need-to-know news for pupils.
Reception pupils were taken on a trip to Highfield Garden World where they were taught all about different plants and had a look at all of the fish! They had written themselves a list of things to find at the garden centre and ticked them all off as they went around...
Our Prep School is looking pretty thanks to Year 2! They were very proud of their pots which include lots of lovely edible plants!

The Year 2 trip to Gloucester Cathedral was timed to perfection with glorious sunshine pouring down on our pupils all day! The children learned about pilgrimages as well as getting to explore areas of the Cathedral that are usually out of bounds to the public!
The topic for our Reception children this term is ‘In the Garden’. We couldn’t have asked for better weather for our pea planting activity today!
At Lower Prep Assembly we celebrated some of the hard work and achievements of our pupils over the Easter holidays - as well as being told all about the Seaside by Year 2!
