Zoo Trip

What glorious weather for a trip to Bristol Zoo Gardens! The children loved seeing all of the animals, REALLY loved being treated to an ice lolly and even got to hold one or two interesting creepy crawlies!


Start your (battery) engines!

Our Year 6 pupils have been busy completing the construction of their battery powered cars and on Thursday we had the race off where every single car eventually made it to the finishing line.


A prefect start to the term!

Congratulations to the new school prefects - the announcement was made this morning in Chapel.


Another busy term ahead...

Today is the first back at school after the Easter break - welcome back to our pupils and staff!


Goat Farm Trip

On their visit to Les chèvres de la Saffrie, our pupils got to learn all about goat farming and enjoyed getting to hold the goats too!


Pupils Arrive in France

Our Year 7 and 8 pupils have arrived safely at La Grand' Ferme after a very early start but a gloriously sunny and smooth ferry crossing.


Baby Chicks in Nursery

Children in Nursery had the delight of watching baby chicks hatch from eggs, and learnt a lot in the process about how chickens grow and how we can look after them.


House Music Competition

Today is House Music Competition. Our budding musicians in Wycliffe Prep are each performing a solo piece on their chosen instrument.


Well Done Charley!

This morning, Charley (Year 5) appeared on Good Morning Britain and was able to recite pi to 258 decimal places! We are very proud of him for being so eloquent and handling himself with such maturity - well done Charley. See more in the 'News' section of the website.


All Aboard!

Year 2 had an exciting visit to the Steam Museum in Swindon - it was linked to their studies of the Victorians and Isambard Kingdom Brunel.


Comic Relief

To raise money for Comic Relief the Wycliffe Cookery Club have been baking ‘red nose chocolate cherry cupcakes’. Thank you to the staff helpers who have been selling them this break time to help!


Lamb Visit at Pre-Prep

One of our lovely parents brought a lamb into Pre-Prep for the pupils to see. The lamb was only 1 week old, and the children were able to ask lots of questions about how the lambs are looked after on the farm!


World Book Day

To celebrate World Book Day, our Prep pupils came to school in costumes of their favourite book character. To see more photos head over to our News section!


So much snow!

With all of the snow that we have had today, our Prep pupils are out building snowpeople, having snowball fights, and generally having the best day at school ever!


Snow at Wycliffe

Mixing Colours

What happens when you mix red and yellow? After a recent Art lesson, our Reception and Year 1 pupils can tell you all about it!


Berlin Trip

Over the weekend of the 15th and 16th December, pupils from Senior School had the fantastic experience of going to Berlin and visiting landmarks such as the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag and Checkpoint Charlie. The Christmas Market was also a brilliant festive highlight!


Up, Up and Away!

Our Craft Club at Prep School allows pupils to get creative - this week they are proud to show off their colourful hot air balloons.


Thoroughly Modern Millie

The Year 8 production of Thoroughly Modern Millie was thoroughly enjoyed by all in the Studio Theatre at Prep School. Stunning costumes, and so much talent on display - very impressive!


Battle at Prep School

Today at Prep School, there were swords flying, shields utilised, and war cries heard echoing across the grounds as pupils took part in a brilliant re-enactment of the Battle of Hastings! And who said History lessons had to take place in the classroom anyway?

STEM Day a success!

Welding with chocolate and experimenting with flesh eating micro-organisms got children hooked on Science during Wycliffe’s STEM day. Read the full report in our 'Latest News' section!


Medical Mavericks

To celebrate the 70th birthday of the NHS we brought in 'Medical Mavericks' to help our pupils discover if they would like a career with the 5th largest employer in the world. Pupils had a retina photo taken, looked at their veins and even learned how to take a blood sample!


House Cross Country

Well done to all those who took part in the House Cross Country this afternoon.


Pupil selected by ISFA

Congratulations to Freddie who has been selected for the Independent Schools Football Association training camp in December, where he will be playing against academy sides from professional clubs! Best of luck.


Year 1 Trip to Tyntesfield

Year 1 enjoyed a brilliant day at Tyntesfield. They had a wonderful tour of the house, discovering all about various artifacts that homes in the past would have used and how they differ from their own homes of today!


Nursery Conker Hunt

Upper Nursery were outside bright and early this morning searching for conkers - they were very excited to find so many!


GCSE Results

Despite the dire warnings in some circles, Wycliffe’s pupils are celebrating another fine set of GCSE results this morning. In the harder, new-style GCSEs, graded 9-1, more than 93% of results were grade 4 or above (the new pass standard) and 80% were a ‘strong’ pass (9-5). See more in the 'Latest News' section.


A Level Results Day 2018

Girls are leading the charge with two-thirds of the school’s A and A* grades in STEM subjects coming from its female students. Read more in our 'Latest News' section.


Prep School Speech Day

Prep School Sports Day

Well done to all of our pupils who took part in Sports Day at Prep School!


Messy Club

Sometimes at Prep School 'Messy Play' Club... our pupils get a little bit... messy!


Mini Chef Meatball Mania

At Prep School the children had great fun at Mini Chef making Meatballs... although it was messy work so a good clean of the hands was needed afterwards!


Cattle Country Adventure

Our Nursery children went on an adventure to Cattle Country where they saw lots of animals and found out about life on a farm!


Winnie the Pooh

We continue to be amazed at the talent of our pupils. This week Year 4 put on a production of Winnie the Pooh which was a delight for the eyes and ears. There were fantastic group dances, group singing and brilliant solos.


Butterfly Fly Away!

After patiently waiting and learning all about butterflies, our Year 1 pupils finally got to experience the exciting moment of releasing all of the butterflies out into the wild today - a magical moment indeed.


Pied Piper Charity Fun Run

Wycliffe Prep School took part in a fun run to raise money for their chosen charity - The Pied Piper Appeal.


Year 6 Sets Sail

Over the weekend, our Year 6 pupils visited Croft Farm where they had a fantastic time learning to sail!


Prep School Knees-up

Prep School pupils dressed in red white and blue today to celebrate the upcoming Royal Wedding. They also enjoyed a street party style lunchtime feast of English Roast Beef followed by American puddings! See Latest news section for the full story!


Wycliffe Hotwire

The first edition of the Wycliffe Hotwire has now been released. Copies have been widely spread throughout the campus delivering all the need-to-know news for pupils.


Reception Class Visit Highfield

Reception pupils were taken on a trip to Highfield Garden World where they were taught all about different plants and had a look at all of the fish! They had written themselves a list of things to find at the garden centre and ticked them all off as they went around...


Prep School Planting

Our Prep School is looking pretty thanks to Year 2! They were very proud of their pots which include lots of lovely edible plants!


Wycliffe wins 'Boarding Extension or Refurbishment Award' for new building

Wycliffe's newest boarding house - Ward's-Ivy Grove - last night won the 'Boarding Extension or Refurbishment Award' at the Boarding Schools' Association Awards night in Brighton. To find out more see latest news.

Year 2 Visit Gloucester Cathedral

The Year 2 trip to Gloucester Cathedral was timed to perfection with glorious sunshine pouring down on our pupils all day! The children learned about pilgrimages as well as getting to explore areas of the Cathedral that are usually out of bounds to the public!


Pea Planting

The topic for our Reception children this term is ‘In the Garden’. We couldn’t have asked for better weather for our pea planting activity today!


Prep Assembly

At Lower Prep Assembly we celebrated some of the hard work and achievements of our pupils over the Easter holidays - as well as being told all about the Seaside by Year 2!

Our Lower Prep Pupils are looking lovely in their new Summer dresses!
