Saturday 3rd February saw the first National Performance League games of the season for the U19 Seven Stars squad which includes our very own Year 12 student Katie Cruickshank.

Katie was selected for the U19 Severn Stars National performance squad last year. She played in a franchise tournament at the end of August 2017 in Nottingham and since then has been training twice weekly with the squad.  They train at Oxstalls on a Monday evening and Worcester Arena every Thursday evening. Their opening day was last Saturday 3rd February where they faced Team Bath and London Pulse in two exhilarating games at their home venue of Worcester Arena. Their first round match is being played this Saturday 10th February against Manchester Thunder again at their home venue of Worcester Arena and will be played in front of a home crowd right before the main Senior Seven Stars Super League team play their opening game of the season. Selection has been Katie’s goal for the past 2 years and she has worked incredibly hard balancing her academic work, school life and training. She was the starting Goal Shooter for the U19 squad on Saturday playing 3 out of the four quarters against Team Bath and all four quarters against London Pulse. We wish her luck and look forward to keeping up to date with her success throughout their season.
