Word has reached us of the sad news that Hilary Alistair Young passed away on 10th October 2021. He was aged 86. Our thoughts and best wishes go to those who knew him well.

Memories from OWs:
Sad news. We always new him by his nickname, so it was always ‘Cocky Young’. He was a good pal and my lasting memory was the visits by his parents who were theatrical and would give concerts. His mother (whose stage name I can’t remember) would play Litolff’s scherzo. I’ve only to hear the piece to be back in the school main hall.
