Pride & Prejudice

Unable to produce our usual open-air tour last summer, we made an online play, a tongue-in-cheek take on Pride and Prejudice. It was very different for us, but lots of fun, a real labour of love – each actor filmed themselves in their own home and then one of the company spent months teaching himself how to edit as he went along, getting more creative and ambitious by the day! We released the finished piece last weekend on YouTube. If you’re looking for some light entertainment lockdown viewing, it’s free to watch (although donations via our JustGiving page are greatly appreciated)

We are also very excited to announce that we’ll be returning to live theatre in June, as we make our main house debut at the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham with our brand new one-woman adaptation of Little Women.

Little Women

One actress. One musician. One enchanting new adaptation.

“I want to do something splendid, something heroic or wonderful that won’t be forgotten after I’m dead.”

This brand new take on Little Women retains all the charm and spirit of the original novel, with a twist; the four sisters, their family and friends are all played by just one woman.

Holed up in the attic of her Massachusetts home just after the American Civil War, Jo struggles with writer’s block, until the arrival of an old friend helps her to unlock a lifetime of memories. Laugh and cry with Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy in this coming-of-age tale packed with adventure, drama, love and loss.

Cheltenham-based Jenny Wren Productions (The Hound of the Baskervilles, Emma, Burke and Hare) are thrilled to make their Everyman main house debut with this highly original play featuring live music.
