How to Apply

Our Admissions process is simple, streamlined and as quick as it can be, whilst still being robust, thorough and fair. We work on the basis that each application is highly individual and therefore we treat each one as such. For Reception to Year 9, we can take applications at any point in the academic year – there is no formal deadline to submit an application. In the Development Year (for ages 15-17 years old), the entry points are both in September and January of an academic year.

Five steps to joining Wycliffe

A brief overview of the admissions process for Reception to 13

  1. Come and visit Wycliffe – attend an Open Morning or book a visit and tour
  2. Complete and send the Registration Form and pay the £100 Registration Fee
  3. Send copies of your child’s two most recent school reports (for those who require additional support, please send your most recent Educational Psychologists report)
  4. Sit our online CAT assessment – to be done under invigilation (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 do not need to take the assessment)
  5. Wycliffe inform you of the decision regarding an Offer of Place.

Joining The Nursery Class

Your son or daughter can join The Nursery Class as soon as they turn three years old. For entry into The Nursery Class:

  • Arrange to meet our Pre-Prep Staff members during an Open Day, one of our Activity events or on a mutually convenient date. You are more than welcome to attend as many events as you wish, where our Nursery Class teacher, EYFS Lead and Assistant Head, Pre-Prep will be available to chat to.
  • Decide what sessions you would like for your child. Please note that we have a minimum requirement of 5 sessions.
  • Once your sessions have been confirmed with our Nursery Class teacher, we will send you a formal offer along with the acceptance paperwork.
  • Once you have accepted our offer, your child will be invited to attend some stay and play sessions during the term before they start.

Short-Term Prep School Programmes

At the Prep School, we welcome short term programmes for international pupils from a minimum of four weeks to up to a year for Years 3 to Year 8. We have an experienced English as an Additional Language Department with small classes of two to four pupils, and we can offer in class support as well.
