Wycliffe Prep & Senior Schools are renowned for their boarding facilities which include, in some the houses, sauna’s, under floor heating and of course wifi. All the Houses are warm, friendly and quickly become a home from home. House competitions, relaxing with friends in the evenings and being warm, cosy and safe are features of a boarding experience at Wycliffe.
From old style Victorian Boarding houses with loads of character to a brand new boarding house with state of the art facilities, each pupil quickly settles into boarding life and thrives in the outstanding care from each of the Housemasters and Housemistresses and their teams.
Our Prep girls’ boarders enjoy staying in Windrush House which is very cosy with a colour scheme, accessories and furniture chosen by the girls. There is a comfortable sitting room with satellite TV, DVD player, board games and computers. In addition, there is a kitchen area for cosy nights in with toast and hot chocolate!
The boys’ house – Pennwood House, is a purpose-built house and also boasts large amounts of room and great facilities for the boys to enjoy including a common room, a computer workroom and a games room. Friendly games are arranged on a regular basis – allowing each pupil to have fun, whilst reaching their potential too.
Both of the prep boarding houses are within the Wycliffe grounds and take advantage of the outstanding facilities offered at the preparatory school including Tennis Courts, Astro pitches and extensive games areas.
Within the senior boarding schools, we have 7 boarding houses. Taking each pupil from aged 14 – 18 years, our 52 acre campus boasts extra facilities for each pupil, no matter their ability, to thrive and enjoy their time at Wycliffe.
Alongside our full boarders and day pupils we also offer a flexi-boarding option where we happily welcome students and pupils who wish to pre-select the nights each week to board at Wycliffe. This option is available for the new academic year beginning September 2017.
