For over 140 years, Wycliffe College has been expertly helping children write their own stories of challenges faced and opportunities seized.
Buildings are important but they do not constitute a school: they merely accommodate it. In this 52-acre corner of the Gloucestershire Cotswolds, we have created a place of learning like no other. Proudly non-selective but aspirational for all, there are few schools of our size and scale that can boast world-class facilities together with a wonderfully diverse community, broad curriculum and superb co-curriculum. Our pupil body, which is a balanced mix of local day pupils, boarders from across the UK and boarders from over 30 countries, is encouraged at every turn to look outwards and to critically assess its role and place in the world.
That world we are helping to prepare our children to enter is becoming ever-more challenging, complex and dynamic and we are an educational community which is continually adapting to this shifting context. We are not tied down by tradition but instead draw on our history to retain a resolutely grounded approach to life and learning, so that we can equip our young people with the right academic qualifications to succeed and the quiet confidence and spirit needed to thrive.
We do hope you will come and see for yourselves by paying us a visit.
Pupils at Wycliffe College enjoy life in a safe and stunning countryside campus set over 52 acres on the outskirts of Stonehouse in Gloucestershire, just 90 minutes from London.
We successfully blend the traditional and modern, not only with its striking architecture but also with its broad curriculum and forward-thinking ethos.
Wycliffe is a pupil-centric environment where individuality is encouraged and respected. It fosters a pioneering spirit, developing independence in every pupil’s approach to learning and life.
Starting a new school cannot be easy for a child but Wycliffe went above and beyond to make our son feel welcome. We couldn’t be happier with the level of kindness and dedication shown to him by the teaching staff. Really impressed.
