Hockey at Wycliffe continues to develop into a programme that can support beginners at the start of their journey as well as guide seasoned players to become the best versions of themselves, as athletes.

Players train weekly during timetabled games sessions and have access to bespoke 1-2-1 and small group training sessions delivered by current Wales International Hockey player and Commonwealth Games athlete Livvy Hoskins. Our specialist staff are highly qualified and have elite playing and coaching experiences both Nationally and Internationally.
If deemed the best exposure for the individual, they can play club hockey on a Saturday rather than a friendly school block fixture. The high-performing players can play National League at clubs such as Gloucester (20 minutes) or Clifton Robinson’s HC (35 minutes) giving them the opportunity to be challenged at the highest level. Our extended cohort of players could also participate in club hockey at a Senior or Junior level for local community club Stroud HC which train at the school on a Monday evening.
Fixtures at the Senior School take place on Thursdays and Saturdays. Sessions are filmed using state-of-the-art VEO cameras, which are shared with individuals and teams throughout the school.
