Richard graduated from Newcastle University with a BA in Political Science, before completing his PGCE at Cambridge, specialising in English at Key Stage 2 and 3. He joins us from Dulwich College (Singapore), where he has been leading learning and pastoral care in his role as Deputy Headteacher. Previously, Richard was Head of the English Departments at Brighton College (Abu Dhabi) and Braeburn School (Kenya). In each of these schools, Richard established a strong independent reading programme to build pupils’ all-round literacy skills, as well as their interest and appreciation of English literature.

We are deeply saddened by the news that Rendcomb will close at the end of the academic year. Our thoughts are with all the pupils, families, staff and alumni of Rendcomb college at such a difficult time.
