Excellent Pastoral Care

We believe happy children learn better, and our Pastoral Care is very strong at Wycliffe. The positive relationship between pupils and staff and the approachability of our staff were identified as key strengths in a recent parent survey. Each pupil is able to talk to a variety of staff for support – Form tutor, Matron, Head of House, Boarding Housemaster/mistress and Director of Pastoral Care. Nearly all worries are managed – and solved – by Form Tutor.

Supportive House System creates friendly School Community

Lincoln, Shaftesbury, Scott and Grenfell are the four School Houses in the Prep School. When your son or daughter join us, they join one of the Houses, and stay in that House for the duration of their time at Wycliffe. Siblings will go into the same House. The purpose of the House is to create a House community within a School community and to generate a friendly competitive environment, as pupils can win (and lose) points for their House. There are House events every term including House Song, House Quiz, Sports Day and House Assemblies.
