Wycliffe is committed to supporting pupils to reach their full potential, whether that means progressing to train with our partners at Bath Basketball Club and progress to the NBL, into the Collegiate opportunities abroad, to European Clubs or simply compete at the highest level for their home country, our network, guidance and mentorship opportunities supports pupils far beyond the court.
From fundamentals to elite performance, our structured basketball training pathway includes daily sessions, strength and conditioning, competitive fixtures and direct access to the England NBL via our partnership with Bath Basketball Club.
Players receive individual coaching, video analysis, academic support and a full boarding life, all in a safe, nurturing and inclusive community.
Wycliffe combines academic excellence with elite sport. Pupils benefit from small class sizes, individualised academic support and our vibrant international community.
At the Prep School pupils learn the fundamentals of basketball in a fun and exciting environment. These sessions are used to prepare pupils for Junior and Senior basketball where training sessions are built around individual skill development and team game play.
Senior School pupils receive weekly training sessions. Small group and individual sessions ensure players improve and develop specific skills. Whereas timetabled games sessions develop technical and competitive game strategy. Experienced players have the opportunity to compete in highly competitive fixture cards on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons throughout the season.
Players have access to a VEO camera. Recordings from training sessions and fixtures are shared by the Coach, with specific clips breaking down and highlighting areas for individual and team improvements.
Touring is an important aspect of continuing not only the growth of basketball at Wycliffe but also player personal growth.
