Looking for schools in a new area?

Re-locating to a new area and moving to the countryside is something many people dream of, and we can see why. With a greater need for open green space and nature; more and more people are taking the opportunity to make the move and re-locate to areas such as Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds.

While re-locating your family can be a positive change and full of excitement, it can also be stressful for the whole family especially children as depending on where you are relocating to, it may mean saying goodbye to their school and the friends they have made. Choosing the right school that offers support for your child can make this transition easier though. Located in the Gloucestershire countryside in Stroud, Wycliffe is a co-ed independent school that offers day places for children aged 3-19 and full and flexi boarding places from age 7. Offering excellent pastoral care, an individualised learning approach and a wide range of extra-curricular activities, discover how our approach could suit your family life.

With approximately 240 pupils from Year 3 to Year 8, Wycliffe Prep School in Gloucestershire is a perfect size – small enough that all pupils are known and valued, but large enough to have excellent facilities, a diverse extra-curricular programme and an academic curriculum of great choice. We invest in going beyond the mainstream curriculum, and staff development to ensure the pupils not only benefit from the best teaching and learning but have access to plenty of opportunities to try new subjects and uncover their interest and talents.

Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, pupils enjoy school in a safe and secure 52-acre countryside campus. We are based just over 90 minutes from London with easy access to the historic cities of Bath, Cheltenham and Oxford.

Relocating to a new area and sending your child to a brand-new school can be a daunting experience but Wycliffe’s strong focus on providing excellent pastoral care to support each individual pupil means we do everything we can to ensure your child is happy, settled and supported at all times.

In our recent reviews featured on the Good Schools Guide – the number one UK Guide to Schools to help parents choose the best education for their children – we received very positive reviews for both our Prep School (3-13 year olds) and Senior School (13-19 year olds) that detailed our schools’ happy atmosphere.
